Contact Us

Most messages we get are one of three things. A solver result looked wrong. A word that should be valid was not recognised. Or somebody has a suggestion for making the tool more useful.

All three are welcome, and the first two are genuinely valuable, because a solver is only as good as the word list behind it and readers find the gaps faster than we do.

Our Email Address

codecrackersolver@seoclicks.pro

That is the only address we use. Messages reach the people who run the site, no ticket system sits in between, and replies are written by a person.

We keep one inbox rather than separate addresses for technical, editorial, and commercial enquiries. Splitting them would only create more places for a message to go unread.

What to Tell Us

If a Result Looked Wrong

Tell us the letters you had entered and what the tool suggested. You do not need to send the puzzle itself, and please do not photograph a newspaper page and attach it. A short description of the pattern is enough for us to reproduce the problem.

If a Word Was Missing

Name the word. If it is a proper noun, a New Zealand place name, a te reo Māori word, or a recent addition to general usage, say so, because those are the categories most likely to be missing and the ones we most want to hear about.

If the Tool Behaved Oddly

Device, browser, and what happened. Letters that will not enter, a grid that will not clear, or results that stop updating all have identifiable causes, and knowing the browser usually points at one.

If a Page Is Wrong

Name the page and the sentence. Puzzle conventions and publication details change occasionally, and a page written a year ago can quietly stop matching.

For Anything Else

Plain language is fine. There is no format to follow.

Please Do Not Send Us Puzzles

This comes up often enough to deserve its own section.

Do not photograph, scan, or type out a newspaper puzzle and send it to us. We cannot solve a puzzle on your behalf, we do not want copies of anyone’s published puzzles sitting in our inbox, and the puzzles themselves belong to the people who create them.

The tool on this site helps you work out letters from the pattern in front of you. It is a thinking aid, not a service that completes someone else’s work.

Where We Are

This website, codecrakerssolver.co.nz, is operated from New Zealand.

Postal Address

5 Strathmore Avenue

Wellington 6242

New Zealand

Telephone

+(64) (04) 920-0315

We publish real contact details because a site should say who is behind it. For anything substantive, email is better, since it gives both of us a record.

What We Can Help With

Missing or Wrong Words

Top of the queue. Reader reports are the main way our word list improves, and a single message about a word that should have appeared often fixes the same gap for thousands of other people.

Explaining How the Puzzle Works

How the numbering convention operates, why starting letters are given, which letter frequencies are worth learning, and the techniques that make the difference between grinding through a grid and finishing one comfortably.

Tool Problems

Anything that stops the solver behaving as it should.

Suggestions

If there is a feature that would genuinely help, tell us. Several things on the site exist because a reader asked.

Questions We Answer Most Often

Some of these arrive regularly enough that you may not need to write at all.

Why a Suggestion Does Not Fit

The solver works from the letters you have confirmed and the length of the slot. If a suggestion looks wrong, the usual cause is a letter entered against the wrong number earlier in the grid, which quietly rules out the correct answer everywhere else. Re-checking the first few letters you were confident about resolves most of these.

Why Nothing Is Suggested

Either the pattern matches no word in the list, or two conflicting letters have been assigned to the same number. The second is far more common than the first.

Whether the Starting Letters Matter

They do, considerably. The given letters are the anchor for everything else, and entering them before anything else makes the rest of the grid behave sensibly.

Which Words the List Includes

Standard English words as used in general publication. Proper nouns, place names, and specialist vocabulary are patchier, and reader reports are how those gaps get filled.

How a Word Report Is Handled

Worth describing, because it is the most useful thing a reader can send us.

We Check It

Somebody verifies the word against standard references rather than adding it on request. A solver that accepts anything suggested to it stops being useful quickly.

We Decide Where It Belongs

Some words belong in the main list. Others are regional, archaic, or specialist enough that adding them would produce more noise than help. Where we decline, we say why rather than ignoring the message.

We Tell You

You get a reply saying whether it went in, and if it did, roughly when it will be live.

What We Cannot Do

Solve a Whole Puzzle for You

We will not complete a published puzzle on request. Beyond the copyright question, it defeats the point. The tool exists to get you past a stuck patch, not to hand you a finished grid.

Supply Published Answers

We do not hold, publish, or distribute the official answer sets for any newspaper’s puzzles. Those belong to the publications that print them, and they are usually printed the following day in the same paper.

Represent Any Publisher

We have no relationship with the puzzle’s creator or with any newspaper that prints it. We cannot pass on a question, chase a missing edition, or resolve a subscription matter.

Give Legal Advice

We can describe what published terms say. We cannot tell you what they mean for your situation.

We Never Ask for Anything Personal

We will never ask for a password, a verification code, payment details, or access to any account. There is no reason we would, and the tool needs none of it.

If a message arrives claiming to be from this site and asking for any of that, it is not from us. We write only from the address on this page, and we never charge for anything.

Business, Advertising and Partnership Enquiries

We consider advertising placements and collaborations with puzzle publications, educational publishers, and tools relevant to people who enjoy word games.

Make the First Message Complete

Send what you are offering, what you want in return, the format, and your timeline. A single line asking for a call, with nothing attached, generally does not get one.

What We Decline

Anything that would mislead readers or present paid placement as an honest recommendation. Anything offering answer sets, scraped puzzle content, or services claiming to supply published solutions. Those are refused regardless of the amount offered.

Copyright and Removal Requests

If you hold rights to material you believe appears on this site, write to codecrackersolver@seoclicks.pro with the exact URL, a description of the work, your contact details, and confirmation that you are the rights holder or act for them.

If you create or publish the puzzle this site helps with and have any concern about how we describe it, how a page is worded, or whether something reads as official, a short email will get a quick and useful response. We would far rather hear from you directly than receive a formal notice. The DMCA page sets out the full process.

How Long We Take

Corrections and copyright matters move to the front. Everything else is handled in order of arrival.

Our normal window is 24 to 72 hours. Word list additions sometimes take a little longer because they are batched and checked before going live, but a report that holds up gets added.

If your message identifies a genuine error on a page, the page usually gets corrected before the reply goes out.

Our Independence

The site at codecrakerssolver.co.nz is independent and unofficial. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Simon Shuker, any newspaper or publication that prints the puzzle, or any puzzle syndicate.

Puzzle names and publication names appear here descriptively, to identify what our tool and guides are about. Nothing implies association or approval.

Privacy When You Write

We receive whatever you choose to send, usually a name, an email address, and a message. It is used to answer you and nothing else.

No mailing lists, no sharing with third parties, no marketing use. Correspondence is deleted once it has served its purpose. Worth adding, because people ask: the solver runs in your browser, so nothing you type into the grid reaches us at all. The Privacy Policy covers the detail.
